The stat system is intentional for now. I like the idea of hiding crucial information but I also agree that it's not comfortable. If I develop further on this - there would be a story and mystery elements - it is supposed to reward bravery and learning by doing. So basically struggle at first if you want to progress and figure out things.
I could still add like maybe more visual and audio indicators to make it easier for people but no numbers or bars :)
